Tí Tighe Fascinators 7 Fáiscín
Seirbhís iomlán le fáil as Gaeilge.
Andrea Tighe established Tí Tighe Fascinators 7 Fáiscín bespoke millinery in January 2012 and quickly established a reputation as a creative milliner. “The reaction to my work was inspiring and I took such pleasure in designing and crafting something beautiful and unique that I decided to start my own label.”
Within three years of business Tí Tighe’s creative success has become apparent with coverage of her work in the local papers, The Galway Advertiser, the Galway Independent, and national paper The Irish Times, and a feature in Galway Now Magazine where she talks to the editor about the process involved in starting a new business.
Andrea launched her new business at the Galway Races Ladies Day 2012 and that evening won the Galway heat of Brendan Courtney’s Who Wants To Be A Milliner? competition which placed her headpiece as a finalist at the Blossom Hill Horse show.
Andrea’s creations have also been chosen as finalist pieces in the g hotel’s best hat competition in 2014, and 2015, one of which was featured in Image Magazine.
In 2014 Tí Tighe Millinery was featured in a TG4 documentary about the Galway Races. In the series Andrea talks about the entire hat making process from design to donning the hat at ladies day.
Andrea has also been invited to talk about her business on Radió Na Life, Galway Bay FM, Nuacht RTÉ, and Róisín, a chat show host on TG4.
In addition to creative success, Andrea has accomplished business success as she was shortlisted for the Gradam Seosamh Uí Ógartaigh business award twice, in 2013 and 2014 and won the award in 2015. The Irish language is an important part of Andrea’s life and also her business. Andrea also won a business award in 2015 with the SCCUL Enterprise business awards.
In addition to business and creative success, Andrea has been involved with the Breast Cancer Research Institute. Andrea makes collections specifically to be auctioned for the charity and judges their “Milliner’s Favorite” at the annual Pink Afternoon Tea in The Lodge at Ashford Castle.
The Tí Tighe ethos celebrates individuality and creativity and each piece is designed to complement the style and personality of the wearer. As each of us is unique, so too is each Tí Tighe creation.
Bhunaigh Andrea Tighe Tí Tighe Fascinators 7 Fáiscín in Eanair 2012 agus sár i bhfad chruthaigh clú mar dhearthóir cruthaitheach.
Chuireann Tí Tighe seirbhís den scoth ar fáil do na fashionistas ar mian leo a fáiscín uathúil a bheith dheartha agus cruthaithe dóibh chun críoch galánta a chuir ar feisteas. Is é dearcadh Andrea ná teorainn faisin a bhrú in aonacht le galántas faisin a choimeád.
